Melissa Guller, podcast host extraordinaire and brilliant teacher of all things podcasting, joins me to discuss discovering a career path (and a life) you love, finding your way in a new city, the art of asking, what she’s learned from taking chances, and the best way to start any new creative project or career.

Melissa is a fitting final guest as I wrap up my first season — she’s the one who helped me launch this podcast through her courses and her own podcast (which I can’t recommend enough!).

This episode marks the official end for season 1 of IN BETWEEN. As much as I’ve loved hosting this podcast — maintaining it is heaps of work!

I experienced a whole lot of life change since I launched in November 2020, and after leaving Melbourne at the end of lockdown, I was burnt out. I had to learn to work within my capacity at a given time, which often meant delaying episodes or production tasks.

I’m regrouping to plan for season 2, which I’ll release later this year or at the start of 2022. You might hear one-off solo episodes from time to time as I feel led to share. I’m also focusing on my new business direction, offering design services for creative businesses, and pitching myself on other podcasts. And I’ll be enjoying the lovely active, outdoors lifestyle I’ve created for myself in my new home in Cairns.

I cannot thank you enough for listening to this podcast and for sharing it with the people you love. I learned so much about myself in this process and through the conversations I had with my guests this season — and I hope you did too.

I hope you continue to move through your own in between seasons with an open heart. And as you do, I hope you embrace the both, and nature of these experiences and emotions with vulnerability and grace x
