ep:10 Majo Molfino is breaking myths.

January marks a special anniversary for me.

One year ago this month I began a creative leadership program for women called IGNITE, created by women’s leadership expert Majo Molfino.

Making the decision to do IGNITE was a huge step for me; it was the first time I’d ever invested so much into myself and my creative dreams, and it was scary.

But I was at the point in my life where I couldn’t ignore the feeling that I was made for more. I couldn’t keep going on as I had; I needed to take action and do something different.

One day I listened to an episode of Majo’s podcast where she talked about how to find clarity and design your creative purpose. I knew this was what I needed and wasted no time getting on a call with her.

I’m thrilled to have Majo as my guest on the podcast with me this week. She’s played an instrumental role in my own personal creative growth. Majo shares about breaking the patriarchal, societal myths that we’re conditioned to live by — and how when we break those myths, we open ourselves fully to our creative purpose.

In this episode Majo and I talk about —

  • how we become conditioned to follow cultural, religious, social, and familial rules and systems throughout childhood

  • the process of breaking free from this conditioning to step into your creative purpose

  • the question to ask yourself when choosing to commit to a creative project

  • pushing your vulnerability edge and putting your work out into the world

  • how to build creative confidence
